I am BLESSED!

So I just have to share our bedtime routine ... each nite we ask the girls what their favorite part of the day was - something we did together, something they did, etc. The usual answers are school, church, playing with Barbies, riding in Daddy's truck, stuff like that. Then our next question is for the girls to say 2 things they are thankful for - answers include, choc. milk, sisters, mommy & daddy, our dog Leia and so on. So the other nite we were going throught the usual routine and just before we prayed, Kenzi walked over to Jeff and said "Daddy, your heart is loved" ... i just about melted! and i was pretty sure jeff had a tear in his eye. I mean, who would of thought a 4 yr old could put it so well ... "your heart is loved!" I LOVE THIS QUOTE! So to my one and only ( and out of the mouth of the one we created in love) ... Jeff, my love, your heart is loved - forever!

it's been 11 1/2 wonderful years of marriage, 4 beautiful girls ... and i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you!

I AM BLESSED!!

I think I can ... I think I can ....

So i'm all for someone creating socks we just throw away ... of all the laundry chores, pairing socks is my least favorite! Jeff hates to do it too ... so .... most of the time we have a nice little pile of unmatched socks laying around the house somewhere. After a few months of the pile being moved around the house (living room couch, to our bed, to the bedroom floor, back to the living room and so on) i've decided just to throw them away! Socks don't cost THAT much, right? And you can get at least 5-10 pair at a time ... right? So why spend all that tedious time and wasted energy when you can just throw away and start over?! And just think about it ... you don't have to worry about getting those nasty dirty stains out when the kids decide it's fun to run through the mud with no shoes on!! I'm a genius! haha

So, to go with my day folding this endless pile of clothes (have i mentioned i have 4 kids!) I have to share what happens in my house when i start the everyday tasks that never seem to get done - like dishes, laundry, sweeping and mopping ... this is why it never gets done:

FIREPROOF!!

So Jeff and I went with our small group to see Fireproof - it was awesome!! Yeah God!!
I highly reccommend every couple ... married 50yrs, 10 yrs and even 1yr (and engaged couples too!!) to go see this movie.

Jeff and I have aslo been reading the book from the movie ... called the Love Dare. We are on day 18 and so far of all the marriage books we've read (and we've read many in our 11yrs together) this one has been the best! I'm posting a clip/trailor of the movie. you can also visit
www.fireproofmymarriage.com for other resources.

Our small group will be starting this study soon! Can't wait!

So I gave in ....

So i have many friends that blog about their days and i've decided that my days with 4 girls (ages 7,4,3 &2) can match any story! So Amy ... here's to you my sista!

So today ... Friday - with no school!! aarrgghh!! all i have to say. Now let me explain why ... and just so you know - this is pretty usual around my house :)

6:30 am - Kami (our soon to be 2yr old - who thinks she's 5) comes in screaming into our room. She wants nothing to do with her daddy - who's already up! - and crawls in bed with me ... still screaming until she gets her milk! wake up #1
7:00 am - Jessi (our #3 ... 3yrs old) comes in and just hits me in the stomach - ooff! ouch!
go get her milk and she wants to watch a "moonie" (movie) ... so i turn on the tv - Disney channel - and go back to bed with my 2yr old & 3 yr old alone in the living room.
** did i mention i'm the mother of 4?
8:00 am - the older two are up - another punch in the stomach to wake me (why fight it now?!) and just as i'm telling them to get their own drink from the fridge, Jessi comes waddling in with wet pants, dripping on the floor and confessed to peeing on the floor .... now i HAVE to get up! so much for sleeping in today.

All i seem to hear is screaming, crying, "she hit me" "i had that first" running through the house, big messes and i'm trying to check email and get a cup of coffee (mind you my kids have not had breakfast and its 10:00) I sit down at the computer only to realize the water is running in the girls bathroom. I walk in to see Kami sitting in ... did i mention she was IN the sink, the stopper is pluged up and water is over flowing onto the floor. she smile at me and says ... "hot mommie, water hot" - yeah ... cute! but a mess and i wasn't in the mood to smile. mess cleaned up - i know considered the floor mopped for the day too - one chore done!

so ... all this is before lunch time if you haven't followed the time line yet - and ... did i mention i'm also trying to make a cake thats due on Sunday afternoon? So here i sit at 3:00 in the afternoon, still in my PJs, Kami and Jessi still in theirs, Kenzi has offically changed clothes and shoes 3 times by now and Niki just came in with a wet diaper and said that she just changed Kami - wow! I'm truly blessed!! God is good ... even though i do want to crawl back in bed and lock the door until Jeff comes home and we can go on our date! Oh great! now i have to start thinking about what to wear - i don't think PJ's will work.

Many blessing to all who have children and though i may not post every day ... i'll try to let out a little steam every once in a while. Again, thanks Amy, Bethany and Amber ... this isn't THAT bad yet.
