It's been a while ... so... to sum up a year - here goes..

Well .... where to begin? This blog this is really difficult to keep up when you have more than one child (or two)! I stand and applaud you my friend Trisha (who also has 4 beautiful princess) ... you amaze me!!

So, lets see if i can sum up the last year. Our oldest is now sporting way cute glasses (why didn't they make them that cute when i was her age?) I can't believe she's about to turn 9! Where did the time go? 3rd grade has been a huge learning year - and i'm talking for me! Times tables ... whew! She's flying through them easily ... i'm still pulling out the calculator to check her answers :). Niki is now less that a foot shorter than me (i feel really small now to a 9 yr old!) and she loves to rub it in!!

Kenzi is have a grand time in kindergarten! She is now 6 years old and an awesome reader! i love to see her face light up when she figures out new words on her own. Kenzi is also riding on 2 wheels, has 2 missing teeth and 2 more that are "wiggly." Kenzi decided this past fall that she wanted to try gymnastics instead of dance (plus for mom and dad! its cheaper!! whoo hoo). I am very impressed with how fast she is learning and doing cartwheels and handstands. She is talented for sure.

Jessi is loving pre-k this year. She really is learning some fun stuff! She started soccer this past fall and is pretty awesome! watch out boys!! She also played basketball this winter and loved it. She came to me around Feb and said "mom, when i'm done with basketball, and soccer, i want to play the guitar ... a real one! not pretend." So looks like that was a hint to get the girl a guitar for her 5th birthday! LOL Diversity!!

Kami - kami kami kami!! Gotta love that girl!! she definitely keeps us on our toes. I guess it's her right as the youngest of 4. She turned 3 in September (and still has yet to give up the pull-ups! mmmm) She thinks (and acts!) like she's just as big as her sisters. She loves to be outside, loves to run, LOVES to dance (esp to the chipmunks!) and loves to make us laugh! What a lovely mess that girl is!

As for Jeff and I .... we spent last summer as the Children's Pastor (interm). Thats a tough job! Jeff is amazing when it comes to the creativity that pours from his heart and teaching those awesome kids! God has giving a wonderful gift to my husband and i'm so glad to be a part of it! We continue to be a part of the children's area, but with our own crazy lives with 4 girls, soccer, basketball, gymnastics and school, priorities have to be given. God is Good!!

We have also said good-bye to our sweet beloved dog Leia. Princess Leia was almost 10 yrs old. That was a very difficult and sad day in the Geis house! We miss you girl! Run with Jesus ...

So i'm including a few pics from this past year. Enjoy and God bless!

Best Dad Award goes to .....

My husband!! I can't tell you how blessed my girls are to have such an awesome dad! This past Friday night I had a date with my girlfriends to play Bunko. So on Tuesday, of last week, Jeff left 4 flowers on the door step wrapped with a personal note to each of the girls. It read:

Lady Nikole (Makenzi, Jessika, Kamryn),

You are invited to a night of Dinner and Dancing this Friday night.
Please feel free to wear your Best Dress and prepare yourself for a wonderful time.
There will be Pictures taken before Dinner.
Dinner will be served at Pizza Hut followed by a dance at the Geis House ...

I hope that you can join me ...

With all my love,
Daddy

The girls were SO excited and for the rest of the week they kept asking "is tonite dancing with daddy?" Friday came and after school the girls were tearing up the closets to find a dress to wear. I helped them get their hair all done up how they wanted and they were ready for daddy when he came home. He got his suit on and I played photographer before we all left for our evenings out. I don't have pics from dinner - or them dancing, but these are some from their photo session before dinner. Jeff said they had a blast at Pizza Hut and of course dancing was a hit! I came home around 11 pm - the girls all had a bath and were in bed - daddy had worn them out! Now don't ya think there should be an award for the best Dad of 4 girls?? I know who should win ... My husband!!

Jeff, babe, you're the best! and such a blessing in all our lives!! we love you!!

My lil Flower Girl!

So i have to show off my lil flower girl ... Kenzi was SO awesome. My cousin Brittney got married on Jan. 2nd and asked Kenzi to be her flower girl. Now whats crazy to think is that Brittney - who was 10 yrs old - was in MY wedding almost 12 yrs ago - time flies!! Here are a few pics from the wedding.

Kenzi got her hair done around 12:00 - 2:00 we were dressed and took pics ... more pics at 4:30 ... wedding was at 6:00 ... miss kenzi was all dressed up from noon to around 9:00 - the girl was a trooper!! and of course BEAUTIFUL!

So cool!!

Ok so I have to show off what my wonderful husband and kids got me for Christmas ... for those that know me - I like to make cakes and my stand mixer is like my baby! i love it! i use it - A LOT! so i walked in a few weeks ago and it was missing .... what the? Jeff said he "broke it" and sent it out to get it fix - whatever :) so a week or so later he finally gives it back to me and this is what what is now looks like. Thank you my friend Heather Hillhouse for the custom paint job!! ITS SO SO COOL!! on the top is the verse proverbs 31:28 (and her children respect and bless her - Message) along with the phrase Pink Happens and on the bottom it says Wondermom :) my girls pick all that out - did i say just how COOL this is!!

I am BLESSED!

So I just have to share our bedtime routine ... each nite we ask the girls what their favorite part of the day was - something we did together, something they did, etc. The usual answers are school, church, playing with Barbies, riding in Daddy's truck, stuff like that. Then our next question is for the girls to say 2 things they are thankful for - answers include, choc. milk, sisters, mommy & daddy, our dog Leia and so on. So the other nite we were going throught the usual routine and just before we prayed, Kenzi walked over to Jeff and said "Daddy, your heart is loved" ... i just about melted! and i was pretty sure jeff had a tear in his eye. I mean, who would of thought a 4 yr old could put it so well ... "your heart is loved!" I LOVE THIS QUOTE! So to my one and only ( and out of the mouth of the one we created in love) ... Jeff, my love, your heart is loved - forever!

it's been 11 1/2 wonderful years of marriage, 4 beautiful girls ... and i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you!

I AM BLESSED!!

I think I can ... I think I can ....

So i'm all for someone creating socks we just throw away ... of all the laundry chores, pairing socks is my least favorite! Jeff hates to do it too ... so .... most of the time we have a nice little pile of unmatched socks laying around the house somewhere. After a few months of the pile being moved around the house (living room couch, to our bed, to the bedroom floor, back to the living room and so on) i've decided just to throw them away! Socks don't cost THAT much, right? And you can get at least 5-10 pair at a time ... right? So why spend all that tedious time and wasted energy when you can just throw away and start over?! And just think about it ... you don't have to worry about getting those nasty dirty stains out when the kids decide it's fun to run through the mud with no shoes on!! I'm a genius! haha

So, to go with my day folding this endless pile of clothes (have i mentioned i have 4 kids!) I have to share what happens in my house when i start the everyday tasks that never seem to get done - like dishes, laundry, sweeping and mopping ... this is why it never gets done:
